Full Day Tour to Lake Sandoval in Tambopata

At Arrival be it at airport or the bus station,you will be recieved by our tour guide.our tour guide are highly knowledge of the tropical rainforest and transfer to our Office.we also provide rubber boots for muddy trails,in the rainy season between the months of december and April.

After departure from the office we transfer you to Madre de Dios River Port. After 50 minutes journey down the river by motor canoe you arrive to the entrance trail to the Sandoval Lake Natural Protected Area by the State.Then 3 kilometers walk await for you through the forest,habitat for wild pigs, squirrels, different types of monkeys such as howler monkeys the largest in this area, anteaters, snakes etc.To reach a small canal. There we are taking our rowing canoes, (100) meters through a palm-forest swamp rich with “aguajes” (mauritia Palms), which provides the most popular fruit of the Peruvian rainforest.

Once we arrive onto the magical lake sandoval that has a beauty landscape that hosts a great diversity of flora and fauna.During this visit we will use a small boat , which will help us to explore the lake , where it is possible to see birds , squirrels, different types of monkeys such as howler monkeys the largest in this area, anteaters, snakes There is also the possibility to swim for a moment on the lake.After enjoying our lunch we will come back the same way back to puerto Maldonado end of full day tour.
