Tambopata Magical Jungle Sandoval and Madre de Dios River 4 Days / 3 Nights

After your morning arrival in Puerto Maldonado, you will be met by our specialist tour guide and taken to our office where you can leave your luggage and take only what is necessary for your stay of 1,2,3,4 days. days, then with the pertinent entrance permit to the reserve, we will move to a local port, where you will board a boat that will take us downstream approximately 45 minutes by the Madre de Dios River, a tributary of the Amazon, Once arrived at the entrance of Lake Sandoval, we will make a stop at the checkpoint for check-in and the guide will explain the importance of the place to visit, and then we will make a walk of 1 hour and a half through the rainforest, As we advance the jungle will change from secondary jungle to primary jungle once we reach the port Sandoval, where there we will take a small canoe to paddle to take us through a channel towards the Sandoval Lake to our Lodge, where you will be given to your respective rooms, after a short rest we will make our first boat activity to enjoy a spectacular sunset where we can observe in its splendor the fauna including nocturnal monkeys and bats and then to change and take our boat to the adventure in search of black caimans (caimaneo (or) caiman tour). Lake Sandoval is the place where the black caimans inhabit the largest of the Peruvian Amazon this species can reach between 5 to 6 meters long and have been seen in this lake and then go to enjoy our dinner and rest.

This day we will start our excursion very early, before sunrise, between 4:30 and 5:00 am. We will head to the palm lick where we will appreciate different species of multicolored parrots, parrots eating the shebon of the palms, making a noise and magnificent shows and observe the red macaws and blue macaws, blue-headed parrots, red-bellied parrots, and other types of parrots and parrots that abound there, and other types of parrots and parrots that abound there, return to the Lodge to enjoy our breakfast, then we will take a walk where we will see the giant trees of 500 or 800 years old where we will know a lot about the medicinal plants that are commonly used by the native people of the area. We will return for our lunch and in the afternoon we will go for a relaxing break and then to go swimming with our guide. We will return to the lodge to change and take our flashlights and go on a night walk adventure and enter the world of insects and with luck we can see snakes and at the same time enjoy the symphony of insects and songs of nocturnal birds and other animals.

After our breakfast at dawn we will board a boat to go in search of the appreciated giant otters and we can observe from very close as they are accustomed to observe them, ensuring a good photographic view and we can also observe different species of multicolored birds that give a special shade of trees and palms. and then begin the walk back to another lodge on the banks of the river Madre de Dios. After lunch, we will board our boat to go to the 400 meters long hanging bridge adventure, which is built on the highest trees of the jungle, 45 meters high, from where we will appreciate a spectacular panorama. In the evening after dinner, we will take a night walk to see a variety of insects, tarantulas and with a lot of luck we will be able to observe snakes.

This morning we will wake up at 7.30 am for breakfast. Then we will board our boat to the Monkey Island, where you can see 3 types of monkeys: white capuchin monkeys, black capuchin monkeys and squirrel monkeys, then we will return to the city of Puerto Maldonado and transfer to the airport or bus terminal.
